DRC national wins Toyota vehicle

A DEMOCRATIC Republic of Congo national (33) and a resident of Tongogara Refugee Camp, Mr Swedie Somaili, won a Toyota Toyace two-tonne truck worth $7 000 in the Metro Peech Super Trader Promotion Draw held in Chipinge last Saturday.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr Win Mlambo who is also Member of National Assembly for Chipinge East was the guest of honour.

A total of nine lucky winners walked away with various prizes, ranging from four-plate stoves, fridges, plasma television sets, smart phones and gas stoves.

In an interview with the biggest winner, Mr Somaili, he gave praises to the Almighty for blessing him with the vehicle.

He hailed Metro Peech Wholesalers for coming up with this promotion which honours customers.

“First, I want to thank God for this moment in my life because winning this vehicle considering how young my business is unbelievable. Surely, I was not expecting this because all along I used to think that only established businesses can win.

“This is a great moment in my life because I have never owned a vehicle in my life. I will use this vehicle to boost my business empire at Tongogara. I am still running a young business at Tongogara and I want to urge all small business outlets to make Metro Peech their first preference as a wholesale. I usually buy stocks worth $600 every month,” said Mr Somaili.

Prominent Chipinge businessman, Mr Samuel Maadza of Chibbs Investment who won a two-plate stove thanked Metro Peech Wholesalers of introducing the promotion which gives back to customers.

“We are happy with our cordial relationship with Metro Peech Wholesalers and we hope we will continue establishing an everlasting bond,” he said.

Metro Peech Chipinge branch manager, Mr Erasmus Chafausipo, congratulated all winners and encouraged all unlucky customers not to lose hope.

Mr Chafausipo said another Christmas promotion would on November 26 and draw would be conducted on January 7, 2016.

“On behalf of Metro Peech, we are grateful with the support we receive from our valued customers in this area. Our outlet is attracting customers as far as Chimanimani, Checheche and Nyanyadzi which is good news considering that our branch is still growing in Chipinge,” he said.
