AN innovative group of youths from Mzilikazi suburb have established what could be the fastest internet café and gaming centre in the suburb.
The group — Dream Chasers opened the café — Surf Easy Mzilikazi Cyber Café 1.0 last week in the suburb.
In an interview a member of the group Tafadzwa Muronzwa said the internet café was likely the only fastest public café in Zimbabwe.
“It’s the only fastest public internet café in Zimbabwe. This is a place of the very latest technology, it boasts of high picture quality LG 19,5 inch LED screens mounted on the wall that also come with HD cameras for facetime or Skype connections.
The network is distributed by a powerful Core I 7 workstation server with direct optic fibre powered by Zol Fibroniks,” he said.
He said the Café will give users “super-fast” internet access with no buffering even when watching Live HD stream shows and completing downloads by a click of the button.
“Users can relax and be rest assured there won’t be any interruptions, whether by power cuts or weather. The café is no doubt the fastest in Zimbabwe not only that, but is said to be the coolest. To add on to the centre there are the latest PlayStation 4 games, which gamers can enjoy playing in 3D,” said Tafadzwa.
The café also doubles up as an accessory centre for office and cellphone gadgets.
Tafadzwa also mentioned that they would also be offering affordable computer lessons to school children.
“Our aim is basically to promote our youth in the western suburbs, our focus being keeping kids away from drugs and engaging in delinquent activity. Also this adds value to our neighbourhood, as we have state-of-the-art computers and advanced technology,” he said.
Dream Chasers Youth Trust is a recently established organisation that seeks to promote the youth. It consists of non-partisan youths that seek to motivate and develop attitudes through modern media to the youth of Zimbabwe.
