This was after Pasvani pleaded guilty to culpable homicide. Pasvani, who possesses a driver’s licence, was on March 31 driving his car, a Toyota Carina, around 10pm along Chitungwiza Road with three passengers on board.
Upon reaching a certain point in the same area, he rammed into a stationary vehicle trailer. Two female passengers Colletah Makanganise and Patience Shambamuto sustained head injuries and died on the spot.
Pasvani’s vehicle was extensively damaged in the accident, although he escaped with multiple injuries together with another passenger. Prosecutor Mr Edmond Ndambakuwa proved that Pasvani was negligent while driving and failed to stop because he was speeding.
