DRUMMOND Zimbabwe is a private limited company incorporated in Zimbabwe. The company is principally owned and operated by Kenneth David Drummond as the managing director with a 50 percent stake in the ownership of the company.
Within the structure of Drummond Zimbabwe (Private) Ltd is Antoinette Maree Drummond, Mr Kenneth Drummond’s wife who owns the other 50 percent of the company.
Drummond Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is a family run and owned business that exercises care and diligence in managing the thriving enterprise, enabling them to be competitive in their chosen markets.
Mr Kenneth Drummond has 40 years of vast experience in agriculture and animal care. He was born and raised in agriculture after which he set up an integrated farming operation along with his family members.
In the past Mr Drummond has managed 15 000 head of cattle in 1976 prior to attending University of Natal.
He has created a 1 000 head pedigree Brahman Stud post 1980 having returned from University of Natal.
Mr Drummond has established what is arguably the largest tomato production unit in Zimbabwe advised by NETAFIM whom he contracted from Israel.
In addition to his extensive experience in civil construction and international haulage (main contractor to LTA Construction South Africa – Makhado Air Base 1983), Mr Drummond is the founder member of the first ever Zimbabwean Wildlife Conservancy (Bubiana 1990). He has developed a large poultry and sheep production business in Matabeleland region.
Among his numerous national conservation awards he has been named the co-architect of wildlife and land reform document together with World Wildlife Fund 2002 and an accolade for Substantial involvement in the Zimbabwe new Water Act together with Netherlands 2002.
On one hand, Antoinette has extensive marketing and merchandising experience. She also has extensive experience in wildlife management and professional tour guiding. Antoinette was primarily responsible between 2008 and 2016 for the extremely rapid growth of the group’s poultry market share throughout Zimbabwe.
A former Lomagundi College student (1988), she has extensive wildlife management and tour guiding in Hwange National Park (1991–99) during which she also focused on elephant and lion training/handling.
She also has worked in the marketing and food processing field in the United Kingdom between 1999–2000 before shifting to merchandising, marketing and retail under the Spar group between 2001–2007.
From then up to 2016, she has been focused on poultry production and marketing under the Drummond Group and is now in charge of current marketing and sales of all aspects from poultry production, agribusiness and transport.
