Drunk dad strips naked in front of his daughter. . . beats up wife accusing her of cheating on him

A MAN, who came home boozed up and allegedly stripped naked in front of his 16-year-old step-daughter and held his manhood before bashing his wife accusing her of cheating on him has appeared in court.Celimpilo Sibanda (46) from Aisleby Farm in Umguza on the outskirts of Bulawayo pleaded not guilty to public indecency and physical abuse before Bulawayo magistrate, Itai Kagwere.

In his defence, he said he is not on good terms with his wife as such she influenced his stepchild to lie, to get him arrested and locked up in jail.

 

He further said: “Your Worship, this woman is lying through her teeth and there is no truth in all she has said. She fabricated the story and influenced our child to lie so that I will be arrested and locked up in jail. The truth is — after

I found out that she was cheating on me I confronted her with the intention of solving the matter but she shouted at me. I had to beat her up out of anger.”

Sibanda paid US$100 bail and was remanded out of custody to 19 September for continuation of trial.

The court heard that on a date unknown to the prosecutor but during August this year, Sibanda undressed in front of his stepdaughter.

He allegedly held his manhood and the incident left the girl shocked and traumatised.

It was heard in court that on 15 August this year Sibanda confronted his wife Moreblessing Moyo accusing her of cheating on him.

Tempers ran high and he allegedly punched and kicked her all over the body. Moyo sustained injuries and a swollen face. After that, Moyo and her child reported the incidents to the police, leading to Sibanda’s arrest.
