Drunk suspect cautioned

A Gwanda magistrate cautioned a Kezi man on Monday after he came to court in a drunken stupor and disturbed proceedings.
Magistrate Sheila Nazombe remanded Mahubo Ncube, 26, of Maphisa area – who is facing indecent assault charges – to today as he could hardly respond to questions since he was heavily intoxicated.
“Bring sober witnesses and you come to court sober. Do you understand?” Nazombe charged before getting a quick “Yes” response from Ncube who did not even wait for the interpreter to interpret in IsiNdebele what the magistrate had said.

Ncube is facing charges of indecently assaulting a Kezi mine owner and her daughter by allegedly inserting his hands into their panties searching for gold and money.
