DRY DAYS DRAG ON! Bulawayo pushes back water restoration again!

B-Metro Reporter

THIRSTY residents will have to keep their buckets handy a little longer after the City of Bulawayo announced yet another delay in restoring water supplies to most parts of the city.

Water was supposed to return on Monday 9 June 2025. Now the city says residents must wait another 7 days due to several problems.

The city says the delay is because of unstable ground that forced changes to the construction plans. They also couldn’t get critical materials on time because suppliers were either out of stock or closed over the weekend. On top of that, workers are dealing with a high-risk site that requires strict safety measures, which has slowed everything down.
