Dufty off to SA

YOUNG Zimbabwean motor racing driver — Zac Dufty — will be travelling to Zwartkops, near Pretoria, South Africa, this weekend where he will take part in the sixth round of the South African Northern Regions Championships.This talented young karter will be rubbing shoulders with some of the best karters in South Africa. Dufty races in the Minirok class, where the karts run 60cc Vortex engines and reach speeds of about 90km per hour around this technically challenging circuit.

Dufty will be racing with one of the top karting teams in South Africa, Roos Karting Team, who have a number of drivers in the top three of each of the ten kart classes. He will also benefit from a days’ personal training with Bjorn Roos, the team manager, where he will learn more about how to race faster and more tactically and also how to prepare himself mentally.

The race meeting is on Saturday.

Last year, Dufty raced for Zimbabwe in Italy at the World Minirok Championships which were held in Italy. He has raced at three different tracks in South Africa and has also trained in the UK.
