adminBEUNOS AIRES. — Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona has been caught on camera hitting a journalist on Saturday, according to Sky Sports.
The confrontation took place as the 53-year-old left a theatre where he had taken his son, Diego Fernando, to see a children’s play on Argentina’s Day of the Child.It has been reported the journalist winked at the mother of the former Barcelona and Napoli player’s son, his ex-partner Veronica Ojeda.
The 53-year-old was travelling with his children in Buenos Aires when he was stopped by a series of reporters. And in a bizarre turn of events, the Argentinian legend exited his car before angrily confronting one particular journalist.
Maradona is filmed calling the man an “idiot” before striking him across the face.
The reporter in question is alleged to have winked at Maradona’s ex-wife Ojeda, who is also the mother of his child Diego Fernando.
Last month the ex-footballer was spotted with 25-year-old beauty Evi Amodeo, leading to reports she could be his latest partner. — AFP.
