The other three were suspended on conditions that he performs 105 hours of community service at Western Commonage magistrate court.
For count two, he was ordered to pay a $50 fine and in default to spend one month in prison.
Prosecuting, Kingstone Mkanganwi told how Mpofu assaulted his girlfriend with open hands in public after she ended their relationship.
“In April on a date unknown to the prosecutor, Mpofu proposed love to the girl and she agreed. He then invited the girl to his house and they had sexual intercourse once with protection,” he said.
On May 18, at around 6PM at Jehovah’s Witness Church, the girl told Mpofu that she was no longer interested in the relationship and this infuriated Mpofu who then slapped her several times with opens hands, the court heard.
