Mashonaland Central province sports coordinator, James Maganga, said they were happy to provide an athlete for such a programme. “We are very happy to have a representative from our province and we believe the knowledge she is going to get will help us here back home,” Maganga said.
“We have confidence in Murenga who is versatile in several sports as at 21-years-old she is a holder of a Level One soccer coaching certificate and is a product of the National Youth Games.
“We are happy that the two were chosen on merit.” Murenga, who is from rural Chawanda in Mt Darwin, says the experience will be good for her career.
“I think the programme will be good for me as it will help me enhance my knowledge and I am looking forward to the stay.”
The 21-year-old is from a poor background and still needs the support of the corporate world to help her realise her dream.
