DUO LIGHT UP SECOND DAY

A POWERFUL innings of 58 not out by Colin Munro brought Durban Wolves victory over Harare Bolts by seven wickets in Sunday’s first match of the ongoing Zim Afro T10 league at Harare Sports Club.

Bolts, batting first, never quite got over the loss of their opening pair for 12 runs, although Sean Williams with 35 from 25 balls and George Munsey, 36 off 18 balls, brought a recovery.

They put on 72 for the third wicket in 6.2 overs, but Bolts could manage only 99 runs off their 10 overs.

The bowling of Dawlat Zadran had much to do with this, as he took two wickets for 12 runs off his two overs.

Wolves lost Sharjeel Khan to the first ball of the innings, but that only brought in Munro, who quite dominated the bowling, scoring his 58 off 29 balls with four sixes and five fours.

None of his team-mates scored more than 13, but Munro took them to victory with four balls in hand.

In the second match, another brilliant innings by Rassie van der Dussen swept NYS Lagos to another victory, as they beat Joburg Bangla Tigers by 16 runs.

This time van der Dussen scored 81 not out off just 32 balls, with eight sixes and four fours, as Tigers ran up a score of 133 for two wickets in their 10 overs.
