Durban ANC leader killed

Township, south of Durban, spokesperson Bongani Mthembu said.
Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said he was shot on Swinton Road, Lamontville.

Mthembu said the African National Congress was shocked by the attack and called on law enforcement agencies to ensure the perpetrators were successfully prosecuted.
“Ngidi was one of the hard-working cadres of our movement and his experience as a branch leader entrenched him in communities which he served with distinction.”
No arrests had been made. The ANC sent condolences to his family, comrades, and friends. — Sapa.
