THREE days after Denver Mukamba lit up Rufaro Stadium, the echoes of his thunderous volley are still reverberating across the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. What once looked like a routine title march for Scottland has descended into chaos, with Simba Bhora stumbling, Ngezi Platinum surging, and Dynamos clawing their way back from the brink.
The Glamour Boys’ 3–2 victory over the big-spending newcomers was more than just three points —it has shifted the narrative. From a team drowning in relegation fears, Dynamos now look like chief spoilers, capable of disrupting the rhythm of those chasing glory.
Mukamba’s late strike didn’t just sink Scottland — it symbolised DeMbare’s refusal to fade quietly. With coach Kelvin Kaindu still working to steady the ship, the win lifted Dynamos to 28 points and injected fresh belief into their survival hopes.
Kaindu was emphatic: “This was a massive win for us, not just an ordinary one. The team showed incredible character and determination. To beat a Scottland team that has been on a winning run shows we are building confidence.”
For Scottland, the defeat snapped a seven-match winning streak and exposed cracks in their armour. Tymon Machope’s brace demonstrated their attacking threat, but coach Tonderai Ndiraya admitted his side never found their rhythm.

“Our performance was flat and casual — we never played to our usual standard,” he conceded.
That slip allowed rivals to sense vulnerability.
Simba Bhora’s goalless draw against Greenfuel was as uninspiring as it was damaging. The champions remained top, but only because Scottland faltered. With no shot on target all afternoon, their bluntness raised fresh doubts about their ability to hold on.
Meanwhile, Ngezi Platinum Stars roared back into contention. Takunda Benhura’s stoppage-time winner in the Platinum Derby reminded everyone why they remain a threat. They now sit just six points off the summit, their belief sharpening at the right moment.
Elsewhere, MWOS ended a 57-day wait for victory by edging Chicken Inn 2-1. It might just be the result to drag them back into the race. For Lloyd Mutasa, the relief was visible, while Joey Antipas’ Gamecocks are sinking deeper into relegation anxiety.
TelOne crushed Bikita Minerals 4-0, and ZPC Kariba stunned CAPS United 3-1, tightening the log further. Highlanders’ draw with Yadah did little to aid their cause. With 433 goals scored so far, the league is heading for a bruising sprint finish — no team can afford to breathe easy.
At the sharp end of the Golden Boot race, Washington Navaya leads with 13 goals, followed closely by Machope on 12 and Billy Veremu of MWOS with 11.
Seven games remain, and the script is no longer predictable. Dynamos have life, Scottland are shaken, Simba look vulnerable and Ngezi are coming.
