Dynamos fans form Dembare Hwange chapter

ONE of the most well-known Dynamos fans in Hwange, Wellington Mandishona, was elected chairman of the newly established DeMbare Hwange chapter after elections held in the coal mining town at the GVZ Leisure Centre on Monday evening.

Mandishona, an engineer at ZETDC in Hwange, was overjoyed and immediately declared that it was time for serious business as the establishment of such a structure in Hwange was long overdue given the Glamour Boys’ contribution towards the overall Zimbabwean football brand.

“I am elated to be part of history as the first chairman for “Chazunguza” supporters in the town. Dynamos is a big name in Zimbabwean football hence there is a need for structures for the team everywhere. It is now time to get down to work and help promote our team’s brand.

“We have also chosen someone to officially speak on behalf of the group going forward but basically we urged all members to sacrifice for the team so that we will be able to travel for matches and give the boys the push as the 12th player,” said Mandishona.

The meeting voted Kudakwashe Dube as the vice chairman while Timothy Karuma was ushered in as the secretary.

Webster Mandishona is the vice secretary while Owen Zvashura was elected the spokesperson with GVZ Leisure Centre owner Kennedy Chiwanza the treasurer.

Justice Mushaike and Gary Gwara complete the set up as committee members.

The entertainment joint was named as the venue for the chapter’s meetings to be held monthly starting at the end of this month.
