DYNAMOS have completed the signing of Manica Diamonds forward, Nyasha Chintuli, and WhaWha’s Jayden Barake.
Chintuli’s camp confirmed that the enterprising striker had penned a one-year contract with an option to extend.
This ends speculation over Chintuli’s future as it had been rumoured that he was considering extending his stay with the Gem Boys.
The tricky striker had a blistering start to the Castle Lager Premiership 2021-22 campaign, but lost his scoring touch after the restart, netting nine goals all season.
“We can now confirm that Chintuli is a Dynamos player, and we have agreed terms with the club,” said his camp.
“The deal was delayed because we had to follow procedures since there were many parties involved.
“He is a Tenax player and we had to honour the demands of his parent club and at the same time we wanted to part ways with Manica Diamonds in a respectful manner.”
He added:
“We are delighted to confirm the move and we are super confident that Chintuli will deliver as expected.
“We are also hoping that he will instantly make his mark in the same way he has done with his previous clubs.”
A Dynamos official confirmed that Barake had signed a two-year deal.
The giant forward was voted for as the league’s Most Promising Player.
Highlanders, Simba Bhora, Manica Diamonds and Chicken Inn had all been monitoring his situation.
Barake was seen training with Dynamos last week.
And the 19-year-old is also believed to be under the microscope of an unnamed European team, which is said to be willing to sign the phenomenal prospect, should he pass trials.
If that happens, Dynamos will cash in from the deal without Barake kicking a ball.
The introduction of Chintuli and Barake means they will join Elie IIunga and Emmanuel Paga, in the offensive unit.
The Glamour Boys tried and failed to lure the league’s reigning Golden Boot winner, William Manondo.
Manondo is believed to be on the cusp of joining Ngezi Platinum Stars.
The Harare City trio of Donald Mudadi, Emmanuel Ziocha and Donald Dzvinyai are also reported to have joined the Ngezi-based side.
