Dynamos, TelOne for Unity Day celebrations at Maboleni Showgrounds

THOUSANDS are likely to attend the Vungu Constituency Unity Day celebrations at Maboleni Showgrounds in Lower Gweru today where the main attraction is a football match which will see Dynamos taking on TelOne. 

Omega Sibanda, the Vungu Member of Parliament said the invitation was open to all those who love football and unity to come and celebrate the day. 

“In Lower Gweru Maboleni Showgrounds we are having Dynamos play against TelOne as part of our Unity Day celebrations, we are saying to all those who love football come and enjoy yourself. We are expecting about 7 000 people,” Sibanda said.

Besides the Dynamos and TelOne duel, there are also legends as well as former players who will be present with those whose playing days are over to take to the field against a Vungu Select. 

“Our legends from Highlanders and Zimbabwe Saints will be there, Rahman Gumbo, Zenzo Moyo, Ephraim Chawanda, Agent Sawu, Ernest Sibanda, they are playing against a Vungu Select. There will be plenty of entertainment, lots of food will be served for free, nothing is for sale, its Christmas for the people of Vungu,’’ he said.

The former Zifa vice-president said the invite for the two teams as well as legends came through the Vungu Area Zones. A cup as well as medals will be presented to the winners of the match between Dynamos and TelOne.
