successful lawsuit at the High Court.
Granting a chamber application by Mr Kashangura, Justice Susan Mavangira ordered Dynamos to pay the money with interest.
“It is ordered that the defendant (Dynamos) shall pay the sum of US$1 800 together with interest at the prescribed rate with effect from December 11, 2010 to date of payment in full.
“Defendant shall pay costs of the suit,” ruled Justice Mavangira.
According to Mr Kashangura, he lent Dynamos US$1 400 as part of payment of ground rentals at Raylton Sports Club by the team.
Mr Kashangura claims he paid another US$1 400 to Mbambane Highlanders for Murape Murape’s reverse international clearance to be released. Part of the money was paid back and US$1 800 was the balance.
The deal according to the court papers was entered orally between the club and Mr Kashangura at Number 35 Quinton Avenue Eastlea on May 5, 2010.
Dynamos undertook to pay back the money by December 11, 2010.
The club failed or neglected to pay back the money, prompting Mr Kashangura to institute court proceedings through his lawyers Gwaunza and Mapota Legal Practitioners.
Mr Kashangura said US$1 800 was too little money and he only approached the High Court after being frustrated by the previous executive.
“I could not have taken Dynamos to the High Court but the previous executive frustrated me. If it were Kenny Mubaiwa leading the club that time, I would not have filed this lawsuit. Mubaiwa respects me, he respects other people and surely if it was him at the helm of the team that time, I would not have gone that far.
“Any way, I hope Mr Mubaiwa will assist in settling this matter before it gets out of hand,” said Mr Kashangura.
