RECENTLY there were a plethora of articles in various media, all concentrating on the issue of one supposedly missing journalist by the name of Itai Dzamara, who of late had become a hardcore politician ranting and raving for the Western nurtured and funded MDC-T party.
Suddenly a strange theory all bent on tarnishing and alienating the pro-people mass movement party, Zanu-PF emerged with mind-boggling and fabricated outright and outlandish lies being peddled by the usual suspects, the obvious criminals who constantly and persistently change hats and colours which will obviously leave the chameleon green with envy voicing their usual tired and lose story of suffocated democracy.
Yes, human life is sacrosanct for all human creation is a template of the highest God, therefore all dignity due to precious life is awarded.
Having given due recognition to life, this character who is said to be missing since March 9, 2015 when he was allegedly abducted by three male adults at Wellington Deketeke’s barbershop in Glen View 7, Harare appears like a mental patient.
Anyone might want to question this writer’s line of thought given the unmerited media frenzy about this poor soul. Those who narrate his escapades especially his admirers at some vocal pro-media MDC-T daily once insinuated that Dzamara would at times run around the entire Africa Unity Square alone blowing a whistle, sometimes shouting obscenities on the current political establishment in the country.
If these events as narrated by this loud mouthed daily are anything to write home about, surely without giving any much insight about this weird character, Dzamara wherever he is, is fit to be a mental patient at any of the high profile psychiatry hospital especially Ingustsheni, a renowned mental rehabilitation centre.
With his political theatrics, it cannot be ruled out that Dzamara might have faked his so-called abduction. In so far as theatrics are concerned, even the legendary Roy Atkinson who is the famous Mr Bin is rivaled by this MDC-T activist. While Dzamara might have the sympathy of some few people, his political shenanigans on fighting for no apparent cause dilutes his scarce credibility if ever he had any.
Dzamara is a dubious character who is capable of burying himself alive. It might also be a way to generate some few brown envelopes for the character had a propensity for media limelight beyond any measure. In fact, it puzzles the mind as to why this missing clown could run the whole day, whistling apparently allegedly protesting against a legitimately elected government which was popularly voted into the echelons of power by the populace.
It is a fact that Zanu-PF is the popular party, the only revolutionary choice which the people of Zimbabwe want at any given election now and in the future.
It is the party which is fulfilling their aspirations and expectations in the current moment and has the depth and experience to navigate around any challenges in the future for the nation.
If there is one thing which is certain, it is the fact that Zanu-PF is the party in Government and all pretenders are just but that, a disorientated opposition which has become clownish by each day. Anyone who takes them serious can only tread on that perilous ground at his/her risk.
The disorientated opposition is now treading on political landmines as it clutches to anything that passes by as anti-Zanu-PF.
Talking of desperation at its monumental best, it is a classic example of such. Instead of exhibiting sympathy with the family of the allegedly missing person, the opposition and some prominent political prostitutes or is it misfits such as the shamed Jabulani Sibanda and the garrulous Temba Mliswa have started to ride on the crest of the Dzamara issue. If this is not desperation then it must be stupid politicking which borders on irrationality.
Recently, I could not resist deep laughter when the increasingly desperate Mliswa made wild claims that he wields enormous control of Mashonaland West, a province he once superintended when he was the revolutionary party, Zanu-PF’s chairman, a post he immediately lost due to his anti-people posture. Mliswa hallucinates beyond measure and is in the habitat of taking rebelliousness as a political tool. There is an old adage which has withstood the test of time which counsels such extreme elements, “those who live by the sword will ultimately succumb to it”. This holds true politically juvenile Mliswa as all his actions are fashioned with an extreme nature which defies logic. How can an individual who was recently humiliated in a mere by election in Hurungwe West by the current acting chairman of Zanu-PF in Mashonaland West, Cde Keith Guzah claim to have a stranglehold of the entire province?
If ever he had any support, how then did he lose an election in a mere constituency?
Mliswa has a bad memory as he forgets that Zanu-PF is bigger than individuals, once you are discarded from within its ranks, it is a fact that you will take ages to be accepted with its system. Just imagine such clowns as Mliswa clinging on to a sorry story of Dzamara and abusing it without remorse for political capital, it would definitely be political garbage devoid of any sympathy that it should evoke.
The story will be a chaos script as it is now if we add the politically irrelevant Jabulani Sibanda, a man known for his useless rants than anything else.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had to warn in the strongest terms the French Ambassador Laurent Delahousse who after taking one too many at a function he officiated paraded Shaffra, the wife to Dzamara ,his brother and child in vain effort to evoke emotions.
Ambassador Delahousse tried to create a larger than life picture of Dzamara, depicting him as a hero of the opposition, in the process throwing the diplomatic etiquette which he should religiously follow and pursue into tatters.
Ambassador Delahousse should not behave like a Paris street kid for he is here at the host country’s pleasure. Imagine the consequences that will befell anyone foreign if he behaves in such an irrational manner in France? Ambassador Delahousse ‘s behaviour borders on the typical behaviour of the abnormally sexually orientated, the piggish gays and lesbians which he is fond of.
One analyst jokingly intimated to this writer that probably Ambassador Delahousse might be having Dzamra as his guest at his house given his suspected penchant for people of his sex. This analysis throws aspersions into Ambassador Delahousse’s crocodile tears for the missing Dzamara.
The Ambassador should make sense of Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi’s stern warning which reminded him of expectations as per the Vienna Convention dictates which dissuade such diplomats from interfering with internal processes of the host country.
Instead of the Itai Dzamara case invoking the usual sympathetic emotions which it should, it has become a foothold which failed politicians such the MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai and the now politically irrelevant Jabulani Sibanda are seeking to revive their political fortunes and construct political capital and careers which have now collapsed beyond any possible envisaged resurrection.
