PRINCE Edward School are expected to formalise their marriage with Dairibord Zimbabwe Limited, the new sponsors of the biggest schools rugby festival in the country, this afternoon.
DZL takes over sponsorship of the festival from long-time sponsors Cottco.
This year the week-long rugby jamboree will run from May 5 to 10.

“We are going to sign a new sponsorship deal,” Prince Edward sports director, Sebastian Garikai, revealed.
“The festival’s main objective is to develop the game of rugby by spreading it to high density areas and rural areas and this has been successfully achieved over the years.

“In 2013, a record 184 teams from 132 schools from across the country participated in the event, a clear indication of the giant steps rugby development has taken in the last decade.

“We envisage our festival growing from strength to strength. And hope this will be a continuation of a mutually beneficial partnership.”
The festival will bring together schoolchildren, parents, teachers, referees, coaches and sponsors for a unique rugby festival that continues to grow from strength-to-strength.
