NOAH Dzvokora and Ronald Manjoro continued with their dominance in local body-building after convincing wins in their respective categories at the recently held 2025 Hwange Colliery Company Zimbabwe Nationals.

The Zim Nationals, the country’s premier body-building contest, was held in Victoria Falls on Saturday.

A record 90 contestants, which surpassed the previous 70, took to the stage and showcased their physique.

Dzvokora and Manjoro proved that they are without doubt the best body-builders in their respective categories after convincingly winning the Senior Men’s Body-building and Junior Men’s Body-building titles respectively.

In October, Dzvokora won the prestigious and hotly contested Harare Classic Fitness and Bodybuilding Championship title.

On Saturday, Dzvokora walked away with US$5 000 to add to the US$3 000 that he got after winning the Harare Classic.

On the other hand, Manjoro, who is clearly in a class of his own, also recently won both the Harare and Manicaland Classics junior titles to make it three out of three.

In winning the big one, Dzvokora brushed aside the challenges from the likes of Gedion Teguru, who was the defending champion.

Teguru, who was also recently beaten to the Harare Classic title by the same opponent, could only afford a third-place finish.

Nigel Maphosa came out second, with Edward Mutero, a two-time national light-heavyweight champion, taking fourth position.

Besides scooping the junior title, Manjoro was placed sixth in the senior men’s race, a feat that earned him another cash prize.

Bernard Groenewald, a highly respected international judge from South Africa, led the five-man judges’ panel.

In the Men’s Physique Open category, Blessing “CC Banks” Sithole, also a winner in this category at both the Harare and Manicaland Classics, once again proved that he is the best in this category.

Zvishavane-based Blessing Korai won the Women’s Wellness Fitness category, once again relegating Nicola Gwindingwi to second position.

Korai had previously beaten Gwindingwi to the Manicaland Classic Women Wellness Fitness title in Mutare on November 1.

Those that finished among the top six in all the categories got cash prizes.

In the past, cash prizes were only given to the top three finishers.

Givemore Marume, the National Federation of Zimbabwe Body-building and Fitness technical director, was satisfied with the way the contest was held.

“First and foremost, I am overjoyed by the fact that we broke the record for the highest number of contestants.”

“All I can say is that the contest was an excellent show,” Marume, a four-time Mr Zimbabwe champion, said.
