EAGLES, MIDWEST RHINOS CLASH

The 2023/24 Pro50 Championship cricket tournament concludes at Takashinga Cricket Club today as favourites Eagles take on Midwest Rhinos in the final. Play gets underway at 9.30am. Eagles, whose players are used to the conditions at Takashinga, won seven of their eight round robin matches with Rhinos the only team to beat them in the former’s final match as they sought a historic 100 percent run.

Rhinos shrugged off stiff competition from the Southern Rocks to set up today’s finals. The return of the Chevrons from a disappointing trip to Namibia for the 2024 ICC T20 Men’s World Cup yesterday means some of the top players will be available for selection as both sides seek to succeed the Mountaineers.
