earGROUND Africa has embarked on an exciting venture with the United Kingdom-based design agency MADE IN ZWE to introduce its revamped website.
Set to become the primary hub for Zimbabwean and African creative and cultural narratives, the website promises to provide a comprehensive source of information.
Plot Mhako, the founder of earGROUND Africa, expressed the platform’s commitment to impartially documenting creative stories.
“Our focus this year is on inclusivity. We aim to spotlight more content on female creatives and extend our coverage to remote communities lacking digital connectivity. We also plan to implement programmes empowering creatives with essential business management skills,” Mhako stated.
EarGROUND Africa now stands as a premier platform for celebrating, promoting, and connecting African creativity and expression in music, arts, and culture. With a dedicated focus on amplifying emerging and established talents across the continent, it serves as a dynamic hub for discovering vibrant sounds, thought-provoking artistry, and compelling narratives.
Mhako emphasised their aspiration to foster a thriving ecosystem through engaging content, curated playlists, insightful interviews, and impactful collaborations.
“Our vision is to become a transformative platform where art meets innovation endlessly without borders. We strive to amplify the voice and visibility of exceptional African art, fostering a culture that nurtures and rewards curiosity, creativity, and excellence,” Mhako added.
From pioneering interviews with artistes to groundbreaking projects, earGROUND Africa remains dedicated to embracing new ideas and technologies to meaningfully connect with audiences worldwide. Their mission is to empower artistes, spark important conversations, and showcase African creativity on the global stage. – @mthabisi_mthire
