Eastern Region race hots up

THE Eastern Region Division One race for a place in the Premiership reaches its climax as Mutare City Rovers clash with Hartley Academy in a winner-take-all at Sakubva tomorrow. Rovers are leading the race after taking over from their opponents some two weeks ago and are on 65 points from 32 matches.

Hartley, are third with 64 points from the same number of matches.

Masvingo United, who will play against Melfort on the same day at Mucheke, are second with 64 points, with a superior goal difference to Hartley’s.

Yuna Yuna will conclude the season with a tough away encounter against Mutoko Traders, while Hartley will end the season with a home date against ZRP Masvingo.

Log leaders Rovers will conclude their programme with an away game at Ruwa Gunners.
