Econet Life launches US$30 000 Smart Schools Promotion

Econet Life, the country’s leading life insurance provider, has launched ENDA Smart Schools Promotion valued at US$30 000.

Econet Life Chief Life and Principal Officer Mr Godwin Mashiri said the ENDA Smart Schools Promotion is open to parents who register and pay by 28 February 2024. Lucky parents stand a chance to win school fees vouchers worth US$500, along with an assortment of stationery supplies.

He added that schools that register on group cover stand the chance to win computers and stationery during a draw.

“We understand the financial burden parents face in ensuring their children receive quality education. The ENDA Smart Schools Promotion is our way of alleviating that pressure and giving parents a respite,” said Mr Mashiri at the launch of the promotion.

Managed by Higher Life Foundation and Econet Life, ENDA education cover ensures peace of mind for parents. In the unfortunate event of a parent’s passing, the Foundation will make direct payments for the child’s school fees, eliminating any third-party interference in the process.

Mr Mashiri said joining ENDA education cover is easy as parents can join individually by completing a form on the EcoSure website, or they can join a Group Cover as a school. Pay-outs start from as low as US$100 per term and cover up to the most expensive private schools in Zimbabwe.

The Smart Schools Promotion comes after Econet Life recently introduced USD packages on its Enda Education Cover.

Mr Mashiri said the introduction of USD packages with premiums starting from just US$2.50 per month per child, with potential pay-outs of up to US$6 000 per term, reflects the current market trend, where – according to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe – over 85% of local transactions are now US dollar-based.

“We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to receive an education, regardless of life’s uncertainties. The constant improvement of Enda Education Cover shows our commitment to protecting families and ensuring that the dreams of children remain intact, no matter what challenges life may present,” said Mr Mashiri.

Enda Education Cover directly addresses the issue of school dropouts due to the passing on of a parent or guardian. By providing financial support, it empowers children to continue their education and achieve their full potential.

Mr Mashiri said the process of registering for Enda Education cover is easy and convenient.

“Parents can join individually, by dialling *900# on any EcoCash registered line, or by completing a simple form on https://www.ecosure.co.zw/enda-education-cover-registration. They can also join a Group Cover as a school,” Mr Mashiri said.
