BENJAMIN Dube’s hit track El Shaddai Adonai was the toast at the Bulawayo Crossover Night as thousands of people gathered in Bulawayo to crossover from 2025 to 2026.
The track gave life to the sermons led by Prophet Bruce and Prophetess Pamela Edwards as congregants from various churches and religions paid gratitude to God for finishing a year and starting another one on a clean slate.
The theme of the night pushed worshippers to brave the cold till the wee hours of the first day of the year.

El Shaddai simply means God Almighty and is often interpreted as The Overpowerer signifying God’s might and ability to overcome all opposition. Adonai means Lord or Master emphasising God’s authoritative relationship with humanity.
Not only were the sermons powerful and inspiring but the music performances from Canaan Nyathi, Minister X, Voxie and Kingdom Empowerment Centre church choir were on point.
The stage display from all the acts was proof of how music is a way of life for everyone. The event also served as a breakthrough for budding artistes Minister X and Voxie.

Minister X said the opportunity he was given will forever remain valuable to his career.
“Wow, what an incredible experience it was. As I took the stage, thousands of eyes were on me and I was excited at the same time feeling nervous. It’s never easy to go on stage especially without the empowerment from the Holy Spirit because every service carries a certain heavenly assignment here on earth. But as I began to minister, the crowd came alive. They were engaged, clapping, singing along and even dancing.
“It was amazing to see people connecting and I felt privileged to be used as God’s vessel. Above all, I was humbled by the experience. We are called to serve God, serve people and serve destiny. We are first Christians before we are ministers. Looking forward to do the kingdom assignment more and more. The harvest is ready but there are few laborers. I want to be counted amongst those who fulfilled the mandate of God here on earth,” said Minister X.

Voxie said with more projects on the pipeline for release this year, she believes her fan base grew because of the event.
“It was an absolute blast. The energy of the crowd was electric and we’re stoked to have been able to share the love of Jesus with such an amazing audience,” she said.
The event also saw efficient and hardworking KEC members being awarded.
