A seemingly fed up elderly Bulawayo man complained that he could not stand his son’s abusive and alcoholic behaviour before he pleaded with a court to have him ejected from his house.
James Masuku from Nkulumane 5 suburb said his biological son Comic’s uncouth behaviour left him, together with his wife Eltar Ndlovu, mentally and physically broken.
He said his son was always coming home drunk in the middle of the night and making noise while verbally abusing them with vulgar language.
“I am married to Eltar Ndlovu and we have four children together. Our last born son Comic who is 39 years old is a problem as he abuses everyone at home. He is violent and does not respect us as his parents. He shouts at us and we are tired of his rowdy behaviour.
“We reprimanded him but to no avail. As a last resort, I am now seeking a protection and eviction order against him so that we can live in peace at home.
“I am of ill health together with my wife so we need peace at home and it is my wish that the court assist us by barring our son (Comic) from abusing us,” begged Masuku.
He said his son was also threatening to poison them.
“We are living in fear after he threatened to poison our food,” added an emotionally disturbed Masuku.
Comic, who apparently feared the humiliation of a court appearance, didn’t come to court to defend himself leading the presiding magistrate Adelaide Mbeure to grant an order in favour of his father.
Masuku was finally set free from years of abuse at the hands of his son when the magistrate ordered Comic not to verbally and physically abuse his parents or threaten them in any way.
