John Dube, the Zimbabwe Netball Association fixtures secretary for Matabeleland South who is also the Blanket Mine netball team coach, expressed satisfaction with this development.
He assured all participants that there would be action this season.
“As Gwanda I can say we are happy with this development for our local teams and I am satisfied with the turnout of teams in our maiden season though I am still hopeful that other teams will join before the season starts,” he said.
Umpire fees have been pegged at $20 per game and the home teams will be expected to fork out the officials’ fees.

Mawabeni v Colleen Bawn, Esigodini Agricultural College v Gwanda Prison, Habane v Blanket Mine, Vumbachigwe Mine v Jessie Mine, Mighty Stars v Shining Stars. Gwanda High will be on standby.
