BIG Brother Africa star Pokello Nare has been dumped on Twitter by her Ghanaian boyfriend, Elikem Kumordzie. The very public fallout between the two lovebirds who met on the hit TV show came after Pokello used her Instagram account to accuse Gloria Lamptey, a 46-year-old Ghanaian woman, of falsely claiming to be engaged to Elikem.
Pokello posted: “Can some1 ask Gloria Lamptey where she was when Elikem proposed? +233 23 3** **** stop callin and txtn my fone. 46yrs old r u not ashamed?”
In another post, she said: “Can someone please ask this 46-year-old woman why she continues to harass me over an Elikem who is 26-years-old? Grandmother – I’m done playing games with you – Let’s blast this sh**. Your 3 children are the same age as him!!!! #Nonsense”.
The Zimbabwean beauty, who got engaged to Elikem at the Ghana Music Awards earlier this year, had assumed that the number she claimed was calling her was Gloria’s. Elikem would later use his Twitter account to point it out to her that it was in fact he who had called her from a “strange number”, before going on to accuse her of suffering from “insecurities”.
“I called u with a strange number and sent u messages. U quickly run here and put up her number and talk like this. SMH. Delete ur post Pokello. Thanx.”
He then posted a screenshot of Pokello’s message, and using an S Pen application from his smartphone, he struck out in red the number from Pokello’s tweet and then wrote: “Pokello, deal with your insecurities and leave Gloria alone.”
The fashion designer was not done, he went on Twitter and appeared to call time on their relationship.
“A woman who knows her place in a man’s heart does not shake. It has gone on for way too long. Everything with a beginning has an end. THE END.”
Fans of the Big Brother duo, shocked at the very public fallout, lined up to take aim at Elikem for apparently dumping the Zimbabwean on social media.
Said one fan using the Twitter handle @Happedunknown: “If @elikemthetailor’s account hasn’t been hacked, and he’s genuinely calling out a girl he’s engaged to on Twitter, then he’s dumb as hell.”
Elikem shot back: “If ur mum hasn’t been hacked, then u are dumber. A descent (sic) woman sits back and acts like a boss. Not put up people’s numbers.”
Another fan, @teamneutral_BBA, weighed in: “Thought yu loved @pokellosexxy @ElikemTheTailor. What is this? U told Bigy yu love her n now this? Unbelievable. Hop u gud Pokello. Sorry.”
But some began to speculate that this was all a publicity stunt by Pokello and Elikem to create hype around her ahead of the launch of her shoe line in Harare this week.
“Do y’all realise @Pokellosexxy is launching her shoe line this week? It could all be a stunt to sell some shoes,” one quipped.
Pokello was dating the singer, Stunner, real name Desmond Chideme, when she went into Big Brother last year. She met Elikem on the show and the two hit it off. She dumped Stunner once she left the TV show.
