HIGHLANDERS midfielder Elshaamar Farasi believes his team can win the championship.
Bosso finished in fifth position, 10 points behind champions Ngezi Platinum Stars after leading the pack without a defeat in 19 matches.
The former Bantu Rovers and Bulawayo City midfielder said he has personally learnt how cruel football can be, and has been working hard to come back a much improved player.
“We all saw what happened last season, we had the chance but blew it. We are obviously going to start this season keeping in mind how things went last year. Personally I have been working very hard to improve and try as much as possible to be a consistent and an important player for the club,” said Farasi.
He also opened up on how difficult his first season was at Bosso, also highlighting the challenges he had in settling at a club of such magnitude.
“One of the challenges I also faced last season was settling at such a big club. A lot of things are done differently there and you get criticized a lot, something I was not used to during my time at my previous clubs.
I believe I am now used to Bosso’s culture and all that is required to be a Bosso player,” said Farasi.
Bosso started their training in preparation for the new season last week without head coach Kelvin Kaindu who is still awaiting his work permit.
This year’s football season will have an early start as league matches are expected to commence on the 24th of February, with the Super Cup which will be played by league champions Ngezi and Chibuku Super Cup champions Dynamos.
