Zanu PF must embrace digital technologies and scale up implementation of policies and strategies aimed at growing membership of the revolutionary party, President Mnangagwa has said.

The President, who is also Zanu PF First Secretary, said this today while addressing the 393rd Politburo meeting held at party headquarters in Harare.

“It is my expectation that departmental heads will scale up the rate of the implementation of agreed policies and strategies, as we grow our membership as well as professionalism and modernise party work,” said President Mnangagwa.

“In doing so, let us embrace digital technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence, in party operations, guided of course by our agreed communication guidelines and the overarching National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.”

Today’s meeting saw former Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander, General (Retired) Valerio Sibanda, making his maiden attendance after his recent appointment to the Politburo.
