THE Employers’ Confederation of Zimbabwe (Emcoz) will next week hold a one-day productivity management seminar in Harare. Emcoz executive director Mr John Mufukare said the forum would provide a platform to deliberate on productivity management methods, especially learning on how other countries implementing the concept have done it.
The seminar is also expected to impart skills on how to manage the new concept of productivity based remuneration as decent work agenda.
Mr Mufukare said the event was a follow up to the productivity-based remuneration workshop his organisation held last month in Kariba.
“Following a successful seminar on Productivity Based Remuneration . . ., Emcoz will conduct a follow up activity on productivity management at Conquenar House in Eastlea on the 15th of August. This will be a half-day seminar targeting top decision makers in business including chief executive officers and National Employment Councils’ representatives, as well as organised labour,” he said.
Mr Mufukare said Emcoz recognised that the only sustainable growth strategy was productivity-based remuneration, which had been confirmed through a study to investigate the linkages between productivity, remuneration and competitiveness.
