Empress Massina to drop 2022 first project

ZIM dancehall singer, Empress Massina, is set to release her first project of the year, ending months of speculation.

Born Erica Sabi, the 30-year-old Mbare-bred chanter, will release a five-track Extended Play (EP) next month.

Titled Dzafa, the EP carries tracks; My Territory, Ndovaridza, title track Dzafa featuring Culture Love, Rundubvu and Varikuvhunduka.

The EP was produced by Steezybeatz.

Massina’s last release came last year, a single titled Mwana wa Stembeni, which she dedicated to the late Soul Jah Love.

Speaking to H-Metro, Massina said:

“I have been working on my EP for the last six to seven months. 

“It’s complete and my producer is putting the final touches to it.

“I will be releasing it in July.”

Massina added the musical journey has been tough but thanked her fans who have kept her going.

“It has not been easy, we keep pushing.

“I want to thank my fans, who have kept me going, just because of them, I will continue making music,” she said.
