EMTHONJENI Women’s Forum (EWF) today hosts a Brown Bag event where rural women showcase their project achievements, supported by the organisation.
The event carries the theme ‘Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: Bridging Gender Gaps for Sustainable Livelihoods’. Women from Insiza District, government stakeholders and donor agencies will gather to witness these achievements.

A local hotel will host the one-day event, enabling women to share ideas and discuss gender equality. The discussions will highlight how tackling gender-based violence links to promoting gender equality and sustainable livelihoods.
EWF’s Ms Sikhathele Matambo welcomed attendees, stating: “EWF believes women must realise their potential power – the power to prevent and act against gender-based violence.”
She added that the organisation fights gender injustice and discrimination to secure economic justice and sustainable livelihoods.

“EWF’s economic and sustainable livelihoods strategy, along with our GBV prevention pillars, brings us together today. We believe every woman’s entrepreneurship nourishes her family, uplifts her community and strengthens our economy,” she said.
Key stakeholders and donor agencies will hold a panel discussion, raising concerns about funding opportunities and gender equality barriers.
Attendees will also view various projects the women have undertaken.
