Emulate First Lady’s charity work: Matsikenyeri

THE First Lady – Amai Auxilia Mnangagwa – through her Angel of Hope Foundation has donated goodies to the needy in Mutare.

 

Over 50 people received the food hampers at Government Complex while at least a 150 are expected to receive hampers from the same donation across the province this  week.

 

The hampers consisted of mealie meal, sugar, cooking oil, drink and rice.

 

The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Nokuthula Matsikenyeri, handed over the donation.

 

She said everyone should emulate the First Lady who has made it her responsibility to take care of the needy.

 

“The welfare of the needy should rest on every Zimbabwean. What Amai has done is a sign that she is a true mother of the nation who remembers her children at all times. On behalf of everyone in Manicaland who will receive this donation, thank you Amai,” she said.

 

The donations targeted the elderly, people living with disabilities, child-headed families], widows and widowers.
