Bulawayo’s leading events and management company, Harris Entertainment, is setting its eyes on changing the showbiz events and festivals’ landscape in Bulawayo with its upcoming end-of-year shutdown party already promising to be the biggest show in 2024.

The much-anticipated gig will be held on 27 December at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) hall 3. If the artistes who have been unveiled so far are anything to go by, fans are assured to have a variety of entertainment from the country’s top artistes, with the promoters promising that international acts who will feature at the gala will be unveiled soon.

The country’s biggest music stars, Jah Prayzah and Winky D will be among the performers. Other notable creatives who are also on the mix are man of the moment, Killer T, who had fans singing his hit song Kanandanyura at each and every event he has graced, Hip Hop maestro Saintfloew, Enzo Ishall, Nisha T, Master H, as well as HKD boss, Freeman.

Locals have been crying foul for Bulawayo artistes to be part of the event and this year, their worries have been dealt with as over ten Bulawayo artistes will take to the stage.

Some of them are Mzoe 7, DJ Nospa, Kotwane Hikwa, Ma9Nine, DJ Stout, Sandra Ndebele, Victor Bravo, as well as Jaycee of the Ungayithi Vu fame.

What came as a surprise was the inclusion of Insimbi ZeZhwane who were recently unveiled as part of the main acts. The addition of the Rhumba outfit has been welcomed by many.

Founder of Harris Entertainment, Tonderai Byron Rice said they expected this year’s event to be bigger and better as they aim for it to be the major highlight of the festive season.

He said they managed to correct previous mistakes and included more local artistes – with Insimbi ZeZhwane expected to be amongst crowd pullers.
“When we hosted the ZITF shutdown, we raised the bar so high such that when people see us organising an event they don’t expect a lower standard. As we approach the festive season, we have once more crafted the biggest party for December, which is the end of year Shutdown.

“On this event, we went big and the line-up that has been unveiled so far is proof that we value our clients as we aim to give them quality entertainment for their hard-earned money. As time progresses, we might add a few international acts as a way of spicing things up.

“We are very aware of the weather elements that characterise the festive season and to avoid disappointments, we settled to host the gig as ZITF hall 1 – a venue that will protect our patrons as well as our sound system from bad weather elements,” said Rice.
