A number of activities have been lined up for the Konshens gig set for Old Georgians Sports Club tomorrow at the Castle 120 Year Summer Celebrations. The activities will complement music from various artistes set to perform at the gig.

Jamaican musician Konshens leads the line-up of performers that includes Beatenberg from South Africa, Marco Maggiore Band from Italy and Ivan Mazuze from Mozambique.

Local musicians billed to perform at the gig are Afrika Revenge, Winky D, Hope Masike and Evicted. Event organisers Delta Beverages noted that a lot of fun games will spice up the event and give fans interactive space.

“The activities include beer shower, colour shower, tug of war, and six aside soccer games,” noted the organisers in a statement.

“Delta Beverages brew masters will be on hand at the venue from 10am for beer tasting and explanation sessions for interested patrons of the festival on the beer brewing process.

“Draught lager beer will also be available at the specially reduced price of $1 per litre. As one of the stringent safety measures in line with international best practice at festivals, all beverages will be sold in specially produced plastic beer mugs.

“We are expecting lots of fun besides music on stage and want people to be in party mood when the musicians take to the stage and we know most people will be looking forward to Konshens’ act.”

Konshens’ hits include “Winner”, “Rasta Impostor”, “This Means Money”, “Good Girl Gone Bad”, “Gal Dem A Talk”, “Realest Friend”, “Represent” and “Forward”.
