*Entumbane 6-0 Donnington
Entumbane cemented their spot at the summit of the ZRP Bulawayo Provincial Soccer League table with a four-point lead after drubbing visiting Donnington at Emakhandeni Sports Grounds.
ZRP Entumbane are using Emakhandeni as their home ground.
The visitors’ goalminder had to retrieve the ball not once, twice, or thrice but six times without a reply.
Entumbane showed really intent from the first whistle with their compact midfield and a water tight defence well marshalled by their skipper Baradze who was playing his second game after a length injury.
It has to be said that the man in the centre , the no nonsense Hubolami Sibanda officiated well.
Fifteen minutes into the first half, Bestian Mukono netted the opener after a defensive mix up between Tongai in goal and Nyamayedenga and Mukono had the easiest of tasks to round off the goalkeeper and put the ball into any empty net.
With five mines to halftime Mutuvha Confidence misqued his effort and Shumba Frank made no mistake from close range to make it two nil.
The resumption of the second half saw Entumbane continue from where they left with Mgcini Mpofu scoring a beauty when he chested down a Frank Shumba cross and on the turn unleashed a screamer that the goalkeeper just watched fly past.
Shumba added his second, three minutes later as it was almost a replica of Mgcini’s goal.
Wisdom Bandura headed home the fifth and Romeo Chirashiwa netted the sixth off a Mgcini lay off.
The win took Entumbane to 39 points and their talisman Mgcini is now the joint top goal scorer with Elvis Wilson who still has a chance to add to his tally as they are yet to play Magwegwe this coming Friday.
They are tied on 11 goals.
In other encounters, Mzilikazi FC have no one to blame as they dropped two crucial points failing to close in on log leaders as they laboured for a goalless draw with an eight-man Pumula FC.
