IN-FORM former league champions Dynamos FC will once again descend on the City of Kings and Queens for their Week 23 fixture against Bulawayo Chiefs set for Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.
Under the mentorship of their interim head coach Genesis Mangombe, DeMbare have been high riding grabbing crucial points.
Mangombe took over from Hebert Maruwa a couple of weeks ago and since then the Glamour Boys have been on great ascendency registering three wins and two draws in their last five games.
This is a development that has taken their points tally to 36, five behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars.
The blue and white half of the capital will be coming to meet Amakhosi Amahle who are on 11th with 26 points.
DeMbare have quality in their camp and they are ably led by captain Frank Makarati and Emmanuel Jalai.
Makarati said morale is high in their camp yesterday.
“We are really grateful to our technical team and our sponsors. Morale is high and we hope to continue doing well. It’s still a marathon,” said Makarati.
Their game against Highlanders that was also staged at Emagumeni last weekend ended prematurely following violent scenes at a time when Dynamos were leading 2-0.
Mayhem broke in the 38th minute of the match after fans on the Soweto End, incensed by Allen Bhasvi’s officiating, started throwing missiles onto the field.
The game had all the ingredients of a thriller with exciting goalmouth action and with Bulawayo Chiefs having the likes of experienced former senior national team captain Danny “Deco” Phiri, free scoring Obriel Chirinda, combative Malvin Mkolo, industrious Mthokozisi Msebe and Billy Veremu among other talented players, it remains to be seen if DeMbare’s good march will be put on hold by Johanisi Nhumwa’s charges.
Chirinda is coming from a one game suspension that saw him miss his club’s Week 22 fixture they played against Chicken Inn at Luveve Stadium.
