Harare will host the provincial finals of Chibuku Road to Fame music talent search competition at Munyuki Beerhall in Epworth today.

Set to commence at midday, the finals are a deciding competition on who will represent the province at the national finals slated for Harare.

The winning group will walk away with $500, the first runner up pocketing $300 while the second runner up will receive $200.

Though the second and third places are well compensated, it will be a tough battle to grab the sole ticket to the national finals.

According to the event organisers, 10 groups vying for Harare provincial representation come from different genres.

“They are all very good but in the end we will have to pick out the best who will stand for the province at national level,” they said.

At the national finals, all 10 provinces will send their representatives to battle for the $7 000 prize money.

Second and third place winners will pocket $5 000 and $3 000 respectively.
