Epworth Local Board mayor, Councillor Nyarai Rutsito, recently held a Mayor Christmas Cheer Fund party at Epworth Local Board for orphans, the elderly and people living with disabilities from all wards.

Cllr Rutsito distributed food hampers to 200 families after receiving support from companies, industry, colleges and the business community.

“Matthew Rusike Children’s Home will also receive bread bought by the local board. As mayor for Epworth, I saw it fit to keep having this programme, to keep remembering residents of Epworth,” she said.

Cllr Rutsito said they managed to pay school fees for 20 students from the mayor’s cheer fund.
