Epworth teen pens Rick Ross song

FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Epworth rapper, James “Unknown” Banda, is a huge fan of Rick Ross.

The Form 2 schoolboy has penned a song dedicated to the American rapper, who is set to perform at the Harare International Conference Centre tomorrow.

Aptly named Rick Ross, the track was recorded last week in Epworth.

Unknown told H-Metro that the song also talks about the stereotype that comes with staying in Epworth and how much he yearns to be as big as The Boss.

RICK Ross

“I am from the ghetto and life is hard, especially the fact that I am being raised by a single parent.

“When I heard that Rick Ross was coming to Zimbabwe, I started having visions which led me to penning a dedication song.

“I know this song will be a club banger, I can feel it in my bones,” he said.

“I might not be worthy of the experience and chance, but I would be grateful if I am given the opportunity.

“I’m ready for the big occasion if I get the opportunity, said Unknown.

He described his musical journey as bumpy, but he has managed to continue pursuing his dream.
