ESWATINI’s Prince Lindani Dlamini yesterday commended President Mnangagwa’s leadership qualities, saying he enjoys Africa’s vote of confidence for preserving the continent’s liberation history and championing development.
Speaking during a tour of the Museum of African Liberation in Harare, Prince Lindani said President Mnangagwa’s leadership offers valuable lessons for Africa and urged him to continue leading the people as he has been doing.
The Museum of African Liberation was conceived as a monument to the epic struggle to liberate African people from European colonialism and apartheid and is designed to immortalise a vital part of the continent’s heritage.
“All in all, we are very impressed and we say kudos to His Excellency the President. He has done extremely well, not just with the Museum, but in all the other developments which we have been seeing so far here in Zimbabwe,” he said.
“We must say that there is a lot which Africa can learn from a man like himself. He is doing exceptionally well and we are grateful to have a leader like this one in our time.
“We all look up to him, he is doing extremely well and we say he must continue doing the way he is doing it, leading his people the way in which he is leading them.”
Prince Lindani said the Museum of African Liberation would, upon completion, be a gem for Africa and one of the continent’s leading tourist destinations, generating significant value for Zimbabwe.
Construction of the multi-million-dollar museum in the Liberation City in Warren Park, Harare, is progressing smoothly, with the Zimbabwe and SADC exhibition sections already complete and awaiting finishing touches.
“The museum is a vote of confidence to all of us as Africans. Thank you very much for having us here and for showing us around this beautiful facility.
“It is a facility worth looking at, it is a gem for Africa and I know that once it is complete, it is going to be one of the top tourist destinations in Africa. I know you have Victoria Falls, you have other places as well, but this one will also give Victoria Falls a run for its money. Congratulations on this milestone.”
Prince Lindani, a son of King Mswati III, led an eight-member delegation to Zimbabwe on Monday and held bilateral discussions with President Mnangagwa on Wednesday at State House.
He also conveyed congratulations from Eswatini following Zimbabwe’s election to a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the 2027–2028 term. The visit by the Eswatini delegation follows President Mnangagwa’s trip to the Kingdom in April this year, where he attended celebrations marking King Mswati III’s 58th birthday and 40 years on the throne.
