IN the Holy Bible, the number seven symbolises perfection.
It appears over 700 times throughout both the Old and New Testaments.
This is the dream that gospel artist Evangelist Timothy is chasing as he launches his seventh album titled Muridzi Webhuku at Ster Kinekor Cinema 4 tomorrow.
It carries seven songs — Minana Ichiriko, Hakuna Anouya, Jesu Aramba featuring Chief Hwenje, Jesu Vakasayina (feat Munyaradzi Munodawafa), Musavarairwa (feat Toxx and Max Pain, Rumbidzwai (feat Minister Normal J) and the title track, Muridzi Webhuku.
“I think I have done my best to announce my arrival as God’s emissary on the gospel music landscape.
“I am yearning for perfection, which I promise fans when I unveil my seventh album.
“I am confident that God is using me at the appropriate time to be able to fulfil his wish of ministering the word through music,” she said.
Evangelist Timothy, who quit football, which he used to play in the lower divisions to concentrate on gospel music, is on cloud nine.
“I have a strong feeling that my seventh album is a game-changer, which will define my course as an artist.
“I sacrificed a lot to pursue gospel music even though I have a better job in life to sustain my family.”
He boasts of a rich catalogue of albums namely Nyasha Panyasha released in 2015, Mwari Haasekwi (2016), Kudenga Kuna Mwari (2017), Ndini (2018), Tsamba Kuna Asaph (2020) and Ndaona Kakore released in 2022.
