Multi-award-winning gospel musician Everton Mlalazi is ecstatic after receiving his first ever eSwatini National Gospel Awards nomination.
The awards, which aim to become the beacon for Eswatini and African gospel musicians providing a crucial platform to promote and uplift gospel talent across the Kingdom and the continent, are scheduled for November 8 at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha.
Mlalazi was nominated for Best of Africa Artiste alongside South Africans Sbu Noah and Andile KaMajola, Easter Igbelege (Nigeria), Nothando Hlophe (Swaziland), Cornel Grace (Cameroon), Musa John Haroun (South Sudan) as well as Edson (Mozambique).
Commenting on his nomination, Mlalazi said he is humbled and grateful for the recognition.
“I am honestly still in shock. To be recognised on a continental stage like this is something I never imagined. I am grateful to God for the gift and grateful to my followers for their support. I am deeply humbled by this gesture – just the nomination alone is huge and enough reason to be grateful,” said Mlalazi.
