A WOMAN’S protection order application, against her ex-boyfriend, for allegedly issuing her with death threats, was thrown out.
She failed to convince magistrate, Rutendo Machingura, at the Harare Civil Court.
Pamela Muzenda had told the court she has a child with ex-boyfriend, Tapiwa Matemberere, but he was a violent man, who threatened to kill her.
Tapiwa applied for a counter protection order against Pamela.
She alleged that Tapiwa assaulted her, when she was three months pregnant.
“During my pregnancy, he punched me in the stomach saying that the baby was not his.
“He threatened to kill me and my baby, and assaulted me and chucked me out of the house.
“His protection order should not be granted because it will tarnish my name, I am a businesswoman.
“He once forced me to have a DNA test to prove that my daughter was his, he acts like a saint, yet he is violent.”
Magistrate Machingura, however, dismissed her application.
