FOR the first time since its inception, the highly celebrated Ecobank Legends Night concert—led by the dynamic InTotal Band — will be staged in Bulawayo this Saturday at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) Hall 2.
Established in 2023 and previously exclusive to Harare, the Legends Night concert is a musical journey that pays tribute to the golden era of Zimbabwean music through cover performances of iconic local legends. Its debut in the City of Kings marks a significant milestone for the show and a rare treat for music lovers in Matabeleland.

The group’s director and renowned saxophonist, “Jose Sax” (real name Joseph Chinouriri), confirmed the Bulawayo appearance, expressing their excitement to connect with local audiences.
“People have been asking us to bring the show to Bulawayo, and we’ve listened. To honour their call, we’ll be at the ZIEC on June 14. We’ve had sold-out gigs in Harare, but this time, it’s not about numbers — it’s about purpose. We’re coming to celebrate great Zimbabwean music and have fun,” said Jose Sax.
InTotal Band has earned a solid reputation for their versatile renditions across a range of genres, including Sungura, Dendera, Chimurenga, Gospel and Urban Grooves. With Bulawayo renowned for its rich musical heritage, fans are hopeful the group will also pay homage to Matabeleland’s music icons.

One excited fan, Nkanyiso Ncube, shared his anticipation on Facebook.
“Finally, I’m thrilled that you guys are coming to Bulawayo. I’ve enjoyed the cover songs you’ve posted on YouTube and always wished I could attend a live show. We welcome you to Bulawayo and hope to have a great time.
Personally, I’d love to see you perform songs from our legend Lovemore Majaivana and others. See you in June!”
Founded in 2014, InTotal Band comprises Jose Sax (saxophone and band leader), Takakunda Mukundu (lead guitar) and Naphtali Chivandikwa (bass). The band’s name was inspired by a phrase used during a “Jesus and Jazz” concert hosted by their friend Mbaki Nleya, where the term “InTotal” captured the group’s unified spirit and musical identity.

Their first major performance as a collective was at the high-profile wedding of Bona Mugabe, which cemented their status as one of the country’s most sought-after live acts.
With anticipation building and fans eager for a night of nostalgic melodies and fresh interpretations, Legends Night Bulawayo promises to be a memorable occasion — honoring Zimbabwe’s musical past while inspiring a new generation.
