Exciting double header as BPA League returns

AFTER an action-packed past weekend of Bulawayo Pool Association (BPA) Cup competition that kept pool enthusiasts glued to the tables, attention now shifts back to league action as the Bulawayo Province Pool Association (BPPA) League resumes with a blockbuster double-header programme featuring Week 12 and Week 13 fixtures tomorrow and Sunday.

The double-header presents teams with a golden opportunity to collect maximum points while making up for lost time following the BPA Cup break. With the race for league honours beginning to intensify, every frame and every point will carry added significance.

According to BPPA marketing and publicity officer Ozzy Dziko: “ players and teams are eager to return to league competition after the cup action, with supporters expected to witness another weekend of top-class pool across Bulawayo’s venues.”

Week 12 fixtures are set to produce several intriguing encounters. Dragons face Renegades in one of the standout ties, while Lobengula Sharks take on AutoCom.

Entumbane will battle Premier, with Exchange locking horns with Expendables in another potentially explosive contest.

QPA will host ZPC while Khami take on Delta.

Nkulumane PC and Kings are set for what promises to be a fiercely contested affair. Fast Cash welcome Legends, Raylton square off against Vultures and Perfect Southwold entertain Golden Lion.

The action will continue on Sunday with Week 13 fixtures, headlined by Renegades’ clash against Lobengula Sharks. Dragons will face Entumbane while AutoCom take on Exchange in another key encounter.
Premier will fight it out against QPA and Expendables will meet Khami.

ZPC host Nkulumane PC. Delta will square off against Fast Cash, Kings face Raylton, Legends lock horns with Perfect Southwold and Vultures complete the programme against Golden Lion.

The double-header weekend is expected to test squad depth, consistency and mental strength as teams navigate two demanding rounds in quick succession. It also offers clubs an opportunity to recover ground on rivals or strengthen their positions on the league table.

Following the excitement of the BPA Cup, league teams will be keen to shift their focus back to the championship race, setting the stage for a thrilling weekend of pool action.
