Keegan Davie qualified first and won the podium for this class with ease. In a consistent day, Zac Dufty qualified second and finished second on the podium at the end of the day.
Third on the podium was Ben Ferreira who fought hard to maintain his position during the four races.
Ale Savo easily outpaced other drivers in the Junior Max class, qualifying first and maintaining the position throughout the day. Rogan Hoffman came a deserved second on the podium, while third place went to William Hartnack, who was racing in only his second race meeting ever.
The Senior Max class saw Aiden Onerattias a convincing leader throughout all four races in this class. Michael McConnel came second, followed closely by Christian Berkau who took third place.
The Masters class saw 10 karts battling it out over their four races. Overall top podium finisher for this class was Muller Ferreira. Second place went to Rob Weston and third place went to Adam Hartnack.
The important Driver of the Day award went to Richard Johns for his good racing, attitude, effort and improvement since the last meeting.
Chairman of Harare Karting Club, Kevin Dufty said: “There was good, clean and close racing in all classes. Congratulations to the Hartnack and Ferreira families — where both sons and fathers were racing during the day and each pair managed to make the podium in their own classes!”
