POLICE have warned road users to be extra careful during the Heroes ad Defence Forces holidays, a period that is normally associated with frequent road accidents.

In an interview, Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Inspector Norbert Muzondo warned motorists against driving while drunk.

He urged all road users to exercise caution.

“We really want to urge all road users to be extra careful on the road during this Heroes holiday. Motorists are urged to observe regulations on the road as well as ensure that their vehicles are in good condition. It is also imperative that people plan their journeys on time to avoid speeding on the road. We wish everyone a peaceful and exciting Heroes holiday.”
